Christmas is about giving, relational giving.
The precedent for this relational giving has undoubtedly been set: 'This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son'.

That is relational giving in its most perfect form.
But how can we give to one another relationally, differently, authentically?
Meaningful, personal gifts require genuine thoughtfulness but need not be the most expensive.
We can make something, write something, do something for one another.
Shared memories put on paper, a treasured possession given away are precious but free.
Giving of ourselves has immense value and follows the example of the most loving Father of all.
